What a signal actually tells you

A signal is a tracked bet from a real wallet. It is not a lock, a tout play, or a green light.

Guide 1 of 5 · 4-minute read

“The signal is the alert. The price is the decision.”
01

A real move, recorded

When a tracked Polymarket sports wallet buys a position, we put the market, side, stake, price, and time on the board.

The action can grow when that wallet adds or another tracked wallet lands on the same side. Once the market settles, the final goes into the permanent record.

02

Consensus adds context

Consensus means multiple tracked bettors landed on the same side. More respected money in one direction gets our attention. It still does not make the bet a lock.

  • One sharp is a move worth noticing.
  • Two or more sharps create a consensus signal on the live board.
  • The performance study uses a stricter three-sharp threshold.
03

Read market state first

Pre-game prices sit closest to the number we recorded. Once play starts, the line can run away in seconds. Finished markets belong to the record, not the betting board.
